Are you ready to print in 12k? If the answer is “yes”, then we have got news for you, as Anycubic has just announced the release of the new Anycubic Photon Mono M5s, the first consumer-grade 12k mSLA printer with auto-leveling. And with 19 microns X resolution, it’s the highest resolution consumer-grade resin printer on the market right now.
Read on to learn more about the features of the Photon Mono M5s.
12k Resolution
The Photon Mono M5s is equipped with a 10.1-inch monochrome LCD display that boasts an impressive resolution of 11520×5120. This makes it the first 12K 3D printer designed for consumers in the industry.
The screen’s ultra-high resolution enables users to print models with remarkable precision, reaching as small as 19 micrometers for its 218.8 x 123.8 x 200mm build volume. Featuring a contrast ratio of 480:1, the Photon Mono M5s brings printed models to life by capturing even the most minute details.
Triple the Speed
Not only does the M5s have great precision, it’s fast too.
Anycubic has devised an advanced printing approach that triples the efficiency, resulting in an impressive average printing speed of 105mm/h. The Photon Mono M5s achieves this accelerated print speed by incorporating high-speed resin, a customized 3rd Gen release film, and Anycubic’s upgraded Photon Workshop 3.1 software. This combination significantly reduces printing time by up to 74%.
The 3rd Gen release film is designed to exert minimal force during the release process, ensuring a high rate of successful prints while reducing the release height and increasing the lifting speed. Anycubic’s specially formulated high-speed resin possesses low viscosity, which aids in decreasing exposure and curing time. Additionally, the Photon Mono M5s features optimized motion control, ensuring smoother movements during lifting and lowering actions, thus further enhancing the print speed.
Leveling-free
Fed up of messing around with bits of paper trying to get your build platform set at the right offset? We all are, and Anycubic has heard our prayers, and responded with a new auto-leveling feature that means the M5s will work right out of the box, and will require no leveling even after adding a screen protector.
The Photon Mono M5s employs mechanical sensors to automatically detect and adjust the fit between the print platform and the floating leveling module. This eliminates the need for manual leveling, which can lead to printing failures if not done correctly. This leveling-free solution not only simplifies the printing process for makers but also increases the printing success rate.
“Leveling is a common and sometimes tricky step for beginners when using a resin printer,” said James Ouyang, Vice President of Anycubic.
“To make the printing experience even more user-friendly and hassle-free, we have integrated the leveling-free solution into our consumer-grade resin printer.”
Intelligent Monitoring System
The Photon M5s comes equipped with a bunch of other intelligent features to ensure that your high speed, high accuracy printing goes without a hitch.
The Photon Mono M5s features an intelligent monitoring system that ensures reliable printing. It examines hardware connections, detects resin levels, and monitors the printing process in real-time. Users are notified of any issues through the Anycubic App, enhancing the overall printing experience.
As an example of the print monitor, if your print happens to drop off the bed and into the resin tank during a job, the M5s will stop the printing process and will notify you via the app that the print has failed.
